Matthew D. Hadfield (“Matt”) was raised in Lehi, Utah, where he developed a strong work ethic and a commitment to serving others. He earned his Associate of Arts degree in Political Science from Snow College, where he played intercollegiate football and graduated summa cum laude. Matt continued his education at Southern Virginia University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and serving as Student Body President, again graduating summa cum laude. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he served as President of the Government and Politics Legal Society and participated in both the trial advocacy and moot court teams.

Matt was drawn to the practice of law by his passion for helping others and solving complex problems. He began his legal career as an active-duty Captain in the United States Air Force, serving in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. Following his military service, Matt transitioned to private practice with a focus on delivering exceptional legal counsel. Recognizing the importance of peace of mind and careful planning, he chose to concentrate his practice on estate planning and estate administration. He also provides strategic asset protection services to help clients safeguard their wealth in today’s increasingly litigious environment.

Outside of his legal practice, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his family, volunteering in his community, writing, coaching youth sports, and staying active through basketball, pickleball, hiking, fishing, and various snow and water sports.

Kara Manzanares is a dedicated paralegal who brings both skill and heart to her work. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Brigham Young University in 2021 and has worked in the legal field since 2014. Over the years, Kara has developed a broad range of experience in estate planning, corporate and transactional law, domestic and family law, and expungements.

Kara is passionate about helping clients feel supported and informed throughout the legal process. She takes pride in her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and genuine care for the people she assists.

When she’s not in the office, Kara enjoys horseback riding, reading, knitting, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her dog.
